Giveaway : Evermore by Alyson Noël

Evermore by Alyson Noël

evermoregiveaway

I have my gently used copy of Evermore to offer up as a giveaway!

As you might know already, I wasn’t exactly in love with this book. It was a really entertaining read, but with so many books on my TBR pile(s), I have a choice to make with the series I want to follow, and those I don’t. But what is this book about?

Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste… Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition. He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets. Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head. She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is.

Evermore is the first in The Immortal series. While I didn’t fully enjoyed it, plenty of other readers did! Here are some of the wonderful reviews Evermore received :

Today’s Adventure

The Compulsive Reader

Chick Lit Teens

The Story Siren

Would you like to have an ability such as Ever’s, to hear people’s thoughts and see their life story? Hehe… Yes, I would! I’m just nosy like that 😛

  3. Wanda says :

I wold love to be entered in your draw. Thanks.

  4. Wanda says :

I think it would be interesting to hear people’s thoughts and see their life story, but it would be nice to turn that on and off. There would be no more happy surprises in the future if we always knew everything.

I don’t think I’d like Ever’s abilities. With it would come great responsibility. I wouldn’t want the pressure or see the pain.

Would you like to have an ability such as Ever’s, to hear people’s thoughts and see their life story?

No! To much pressure and responsibility. People’s thoughts would hunt me.

  10. ShootingStarsMag says :

I would love to be entered. Thanks for the shot.

  11. ShootingStarsMag says :

As for Ever’s power, I wouldn’t want that particular one…it seems like too much pressure and hearing other’s thoughts would get old fast. 🙂

  12. Lisette says :

Ah one of my friends wants this book for some crazy reason. I already gave my copy away though 😦 *crosses fingers* 😀

  13. Lisette says :

I wouldn’t mind having that ability even though it would kind of suck. I’d would like to know how some people truly are though, that’d be interesting/sad/cool.

  14. Rose Red says :

I’d love to be entered in this contest. Thanks for the straightforward review and I agree when a TBR is toppling over you have to be selective.

  15. Rose Red says :

Yup, I wouldn’t mind having any paranormal abilities. Of course could be a blessing or an annoyance depending on situations you might be in as it would kind of ruin any possible surprise–like if you could see/sense what was inside the birthday package.

    Great giveaway.

And to answer your question: As alluring as it seems at times I would not like to be able to read people’s thoughts or see their life stories. It would seem creepy to me to be taking this knowledge from someone without their permission. There’s something important and intimate about getting this kind of information through getting to actually know someone instead of through some crazy magical power.

  17. kimi says :

I’d love to have her gift.

  18. Jenny N says :

Thanks for the giveaway. I’v been wanting to read this series for a while now.

  19. Jenny N says :

It would be nice to have that ability and know what people really think about me but I wouldnt want to know everything about a person.

  20. Beth says :

Please enter me. Thanks for the chance. I would not want the ability to read thoughts. I think it would be a burden.

  21. Mystica says :

Please count me in as I would like to read this book. Thanks for keeping the contest open for overseas readers!

+1 I would hate that – that seems like a really dangerous kind of a gift. I think people’s thoughts should stay private, otherwise World War Three would erupt tomorrow. And I think people should keep their life stories private. If they want to share, they can. But I think people’s privacy is way too important for me to even want to break.

I agree with what justicejenniferreads said about the difference between the intimacy of someone trusting you enough to share, and just having some crazy magical power that lets you “steal” their thoughts and emotions.

    🙂

  23. Ladytink_534 says :

Oh I’d love to be entered for this!

Sometimes I think it would be neat to hear other people’s thoughts but only if you can turn it off and on at will.

  27. melissa says :

Would you like to have an ability such as Ever’s, to hear people’s thoughts and see their life story?

Absolutely NOT! Can you imagine knowing exactly what other people think of you (or about in general)? I also wouldn’t want to know what happens in people’s lives, particularly my family – I would probably freak out. And try to change it.

+1 I wouldn’t mind having that ability. I suppose it could get cumbersome at times, but with the ability to control it…it would probably work to your advantage!

+1 I wouldn’t want to have Ever’s ability if it meant not being able to control it. It’ll be harder to study with. I can barely concentrate with the clock ticking sometimes!

I wouldn’t like to hear people’s thoughts… I don’t think that it would be easy to pry into things that I’m not supposed to know… it would probably be weird to handle such an ability…

    1) Thanks for this contest. I’m in this phase where I can’t stop reading. I was looking for a new book to read and I stumbled on your blog. I will make sure to check your reviews. I may find the next book I’ll read in there!

    2) I would not want to have Ever’s gifts. It must be truly horrible having to go through life knowing what everyone feels or think.

    Thanks again!

I think it would be cool to have for a while, see how everyone’s thinks and such, but it wouldn’t be an ability I’d like to have forever, I think the constant invasions on other people’s mind could be overwhelming
